The Joule Team!

Joe
"I am a youth worker trained in Social Work from NUS. I share my life with the youths in many ways that hopefully will leave behind an impact in their lives. Personally I am also deeply passionate and zealous in outdoor adventure like dragonboating, kayaking, gym and long distance races."

“I graduated from NUS in Social Work in 2006. I am a fun-loving and optimistic person who likes to look on the brighter side of things. I think that there is always hope as long as you believe. I like reading, cycling and strolling along East Coast Park! I prefer life in its simplicity. =) The reason why I am a youth worker is that I enjoy interacting with young people as I believe that youths have a lot of potential and are so full of surprises! Working with youths has also taught me many life lessons such as humility and courage. Life is a gift, therefore live and cherish it! "

“Ello!!! I'm someone who is tall, dark, sporty and I'm game for good fun anytime! :D I love racket games, vball, soccer, blading, running, swimming, cycling, wakeboarding..etc. Sports energize me, clears my mind and reminds me that I can overcome challenges. Try out our Joule club sports to experience for yourself!
The other side of me love reading, baking, watching a good movie with friends, and chilling out on a beach and gazing at the sun's descence into the horizon :)

Another of my love in life is YOUths! Yes, in other words, YOU, my dear friend, if you are a youth :) I enjoyed my youth days and I know how youth days can be both a time of fun and challenges (studies, bgr, friends, parents, self image and even pimples!).
Thus, if you allow me, I hope to walk along with you during this happening phase of your life, work through the problems that you may encounter and maximise the joy of being a youth (taking part in Joule Club activities is one way)!
A quote that inspired me to be a social worker is, 'Some people see youths as bottles to be filled. But I see youths as candles to be lit'.
May you be lit with passion in life and bring warmth and light to others around you!

That's right! We enjoy what we are doing; working and interacting with young people like you!
We believe every youth has the potential to achieve great things, when they put their hearts to it! That is why our passion and optimism remain high! We are hopeful young people CAN.

Oh one last thing, remember to check out our upcoming events and activities at the right column of the blog!

Meanwhile,
Happy Holidays!
